For the second time in a row, Spain – Portugal will be the Final of the U17 European Championship. As happened last year in Mieres, the two most victorious teams will play again for the title starting from 9 PM CET.
Yesterday night in Fanano (Italy), Spain won its semifinal against France 3-1 and Portugal scratched Italy 6-2. France and Italy will play for the 3rd place starting from 7 PM CET.
In the knockout phase for the 5th/8th places, both the teams that were 3rd in their groups lost the semifinal, letting Germany and Switzerland get the final for the 5th place (5 PM). England and Andorra will play for the 7th place (3 PM).
The program of the last day of the 36th U17 European Championship will be open by the 2nd leg of the final for the 9th place between Austria and Israel (1 PM). Yesterday, Israel won the 1st leg 5-6 after a stunning comeback.
