The last golden goal rewards Portugal that is the new U17 European Champion: Spain defeated 1-0

Portugal is the new U17 European Champion. In the final at the Palaghiaccio in Fanano (Italy) the team coached by Nuno Ferrao avenged for the title lost last year in Mieres when Spain got the title in the overtime. Yesterday in Italy, Portugal did the same: after a complete game without goals, the Final went to the overtime and the golden goal scored by Josè Gonçalves gave the Championship to Portugal.
Those scored by Gonçalves will probably be the last golden goal in the history of Rink Hockey. New regulations will be applied starting from the World Roller Game in China that don’t consider this feature.
The 3rd place went to Italy that won 5-3 against France in the Final for the 3rd place. The golden gold even decided the final for the 5th place, letting Germany prevail 4-3 over Switzerland. Winning 6-1 against England, Andorra closed at the 7th place, while Austria got the 9th place winning 7-1 against Israel.
