An unpredictable surprise in the second-last matchday of Euroleague Regular Phase. The title-holder Sporting lost the decisive match for 5-1, where is compulsory to win to remain in the competition. The italian Lodi makes one of the greatest matches of the season and scores for 5 times inside the net of Girao. In Group A, Lodi and Reus (victorious 3-1 in France) are now qualified to the quarterfinals and in the last matchday in March they will fight, in Palau d’Esports in Reus, for the first position. Other three teams are already qualified to the next round and two are waiting for the pass after the results of tomorrow’s game Barça-Sarzana: Porto, Oliveirense and Deportivo Liceo win their own games with a decisive latest parts of their struggles: Porto won 3-2 in Monza’s rink and assure the qualification to quarterfinals, Oliveirense and Liceo won in the latest minutes of their games, respectively 5-4 and 2-1, and will fight in March for the first position in Oliveira De Azemeis.
The quarterfinals of the WS Europe Cup rewarded the home teams. All the four matches of 1st leg won by Voltregà, Braga, Barcelos and Trissino. Voltregà wins only for one goal in the catalan derby against Caldes, Braga and Barcelos, respectively, with 3 and 2 goals more than the opponents and Trissino even with 8 goals. In the middle of March, these teams will need only a tie for qualifying to Final Four.
