World Skate Europe Cup: the Final will be again Lleida-Sarzana, as in 2019

83

Again Lleida-Sarzana will decide the winner of World Skate Europe Cup. The best team seen in the semifinals, where they have found two great opponents, strong to defeat until the exciting last minutes. Tomorrow at 12:30 (CET) on the Poliesportiu Andorra, the second consecutive final Lleida-Sarzana, the third final for the catalans, always with the head coach Albert Folguera.

A quarter-final and semifinals day without extra time, a strange coincidence. Caldes had managed to beat Portuguese Riba D’Ave 6-2 after a substantially balanced game. Sarzana had won 3-2 against Igualada, who had also taken a 2-0 lead in the first half. The Italians managed to draw and then score the decisive goal with Rossi. In the Catalan derby, Girona won 4-2, in a very hard-fought race.
In the semi-finals, Sarzana was surprised in the first half with the goal, one second from the end of the first half, after a balance game, both involved with some wrong direct shots.. In the second half Caldes missed several direct shots and in the exciting final, the Italians managed to win, thanks to two goals from Galbas in two minutes that gave Sarzana the second consecutive final. Three goals were Spanish Galbas and Italian Rossi.
In the second semi-final, a new Catalan derby between Lleida and Girona where the balance remained throughout the first half when Folguera scored the first goal then drawn by Pujol. In the second half, Lleida raised the rhythm and with Tomas managed to score 2-1. Girona failed to overcome the excellent opposing defence and suffered a 3-1 win in the final with Vives at an empty goal.
